[gelöst]Arch erkennt nur 6GB von 8GB RAM @ ThinPad E495

Hallo zusammen,

[virtual] Expansion ROM at 000c0000 [disabled] [size=128K]
	Capabilities: <access denied>
	Kernel driver in use: amdgpu
	Kernel modules: amdgpu

Was mich zusätzlich ein wenig wundert.

https://www.pcwelt.de/news/AMD-Ryzen-Al … zenAPUVega

https://www.gamestar.de/artikel/linux-b … 46349.html

# cat /sys/class/drm_dp_aux_dev/drm_dp_aux0/device/mem_info_vram_total

Re: [gelöst]Arch erkennt nur 6GB von 8GB RAM @ ThinPad E495

Kabbone du bist der beste smile

cat /sys/class/drm_dp_aux_dev/drm_dp_aux0/device/mem_info_vram_total
2147483648

Ergibt umgerechnet 2GB.

Hmmm.

https://github.com/torvalds/linux/blob/ … vram_mgr.c

https://dri.freedesktop.org/docs/drm/gpu/amdgpu.html

The amdgpu driver supports the following module parameters:

vramlimit (int)

Restrict the total amount of VRAM in MiB for testing. The default is 0 (Use full VRAM).

vis_vramlimit (int)

Restrict the amount of CPU visible VRAM in MiB for testing. The default is 0 (Use full CPU visible VRAM).

Tja.
