Hallo nochmal,
ich versuche gerade verzweifelt einen samba server aufzusetzen mit dem ich unter dem vmplayer auf den Drucker und meine Homeverzeichnisse zugreifen kann. Meine smb.conf sieht so aus und hat unter kanotix auch wunderbar funktioniert. Unter arch leider nicht. Ich kann weder beim guest noch beim host einen Drucker oder ein freigegebenes Verzeichnis sehen.

hast du nmbd und smbd schon manuell gestartet, soweit werden sie nicht automatisch gestartet

uh, das weíß ich :lol:, denke ich.
also in rc.conf unter DEAMONS samba eintragen
oder manuell durch /etc/rc.d/samba start
