X-Server startet nicht mehr , nach software Installtion

Hi,

meine X-Server startet leider nicht mehr. Ich bekomme folgenden Fehler:

COULD NOT OPEN DEFAULT FONT "FIXED"

Wenn ich die xorg.conf loesche, dann kann ich den X-Server und damit KDE wieder. Also denke ich, es liegt an der Xorg.conf. Vielleicht hat ja jemand eine Idee.

Da müsstest Du mal genauer in die Log-Datei schauen; mir scheint als fehlen bei Dir ein paar Font-Paths. Hier mal meine xorg.conf:

nein, es liegt nicht an deiner xorg.conf

das mit den fonts passiert, wenn du die anleitung im wiki beyueglich Xorg7 nicht gelesen hast

versuch folgendes:

- xorg-fonts-100dpi und xorg-fonts-75dpi installieren
- es wird sicherlich die meldung kommen: "mkfontdir" und "mkfontscale" command not found
- dann: xorg-font-utils installieren
- nochmal xorg-fonts-100dpi und xorg-fonts-75dpi installieren
- falls X immernoch nicht geht versuch noch weitere fonts nachzuinstallieren, zB: xorg-fonts-encoding / xorg-fonts-misc / etc etc

sollte klappen, falls nicht nochmal melden
