You should not run nvidia-xconfig, ever.
Ist ein oft wiederholter Satz aus dem englischen Archlinux-Forum.
Außerdem habe ich mein Grafiksetup bereits eingerichtet (den Arch-Guides folgend):

erfolgreich einrichten können.
Allerdings ohne bumblebee und bbswitch. Das Wiki zu Bumblebee enthält folgende Warnung:
Note: Bumblebee has significant performance issues[1][2]. See NVIDIA Optimus for alternative solutions.
Daher habe ich mich informiert, welches Setup für mich optimal ist. Dabei habe ich aber noch nicht an den Betrieb externer Monitore gedacht.
Diese Frage ist nun mit diesem Thread aufgetreten, da ich die Fehlermeldung nicht so recht verstehe habe ich versucht auf die erst beste Vermutung zu schließen und wollte gerne wissen, wie ich für ein Notebook testen kann
ob die interne oder die dedizierte EInheit mit bestimmten Outputs, wie dem primär für mich wichtigen HDMI Anschluss verbunden ist? Wenn es die dedizierte GPU ist wollte ich gerne wissen, wie ich mein Setup (
https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/PRIME#PRIME_render_offload ) anpasse. Eventuell ist dort der erste Wikieintrag unter Troubleshooting zuständig. Dies weiß ich aber nicht, da ich nicht weiß, wie ich die Ausgabe zu interpretieren habe und deshalb suche ich hier Hilfe.

da ich gerade nochmal in den Artikel geschaut habe, ist mir aufgefallen, dass es etwas gibt, was sich "PRIME Synchronization" nennt. Dies wird von meinen GPUs auch angeboten und scheint aktiv zu sein: (xrandr --prop)

Ich habe versucht dies mit folgenden beiden Kommandos zu aktivieren, bei denen EXTERNAL_OUTPUT = "HDMI-1-0" ist und INTERNAL_OUTPUT="eDP-1":
xrandr --output $INTERNAL_OUTPUT --auto --output $EXTERNAL_OUTPUT --set "PRIME Synchronization" 1 --auto --above $INTERNAL_OUTPUT
und alternativ:
xrandr --output $INTERNAL_OUTPUT --set "PRIME Synchronization" 1 --auto --output $EXTERNAL_OUTPUT --auto --above $INTERNAL_OUTPUT --set "PRIME Synchronization" 1
beides führte zu einem BadValue error der vermutlich damit zusammenhängt, dass PRIME Synchronization als Wertname nicht gefunden wurde.
